A tour through Manorville in the fall

I had a little extra time, and the leaves and such were so beautiful, so i took some pretty nice shots. This will bring all of us back. It is eerily wierd how much it all looks the same as it did 40 years ago. Enjoy Craig
How many times did we all drive past this sign?

North street house

had an awesome oportunity to "tour" the north street house. Now owned by Joe Trocchio. The house was vacant between two renters. Dad and Mom paid a whopping $85 a month for the right to reside there, the current tennant will pay $2000 a month. There were a couple of changes that were notable.
1. The metal grate that was on  the floor from the downstairs boiler has been removed. The boiler itself was also removed. Joe told me that there was 12 inches of "DNA" down the bottom of that greate in the basement that accumulated over the last 60 years. I am sure some of that is Gandolph. He also said it wasn't pretty. Only a solid wood floor remains where the grate used to be.
2. The basement stairs leading from the kitchen are gone. The kitchen is now 5 feet bigger.
3. The upstairs now has 3 bedrooms as a large room has been built over the downstairs living room.

All of the frames are still original

Joe said he had to sand every window to get them to open

Toy boxes look the same

just the cover is new

The surprising thing was that the rest of the house was in pretty much exactly the same shape it was in before. The doors, glass, windows, and such were exactly the same. Even the fireoplace is original.  Enjoy the pictures. I believe I am the first person to walk through the house from our family in 40 years. Craig
