We got off to a great start Saturday. Drove to St George and spent the night with Sara and Phil (Carries Sister). Sunday we went to their ward and listened to them give their talks. It was awesome.
We hit the road about noon and hoped to arrive in Long Beach by 5pm. Then we witnessed a major accident right in front of us. 4 college kids from Pepperdine over-corrected and flipped their SUV. All made it out of the car without major injuries. Carrie had a chance to call their parents and assure them everything was OK. Callie got to be a first responder and use some of her nursing skills to calm everyone down. They were so lucky.
This morning we board the ship, right next to the Queen Mary. Kids are very excited.
